This PNG Lahamenegu coffee is sourced from smallholder farms in the small town of Goroka near the Lahamenegu wet mill. The mill is owned and operated by Volcafe PNG, the only exporter to own a coffee wet mill in PNG. While most smallholders in PNG process coffee at the farm level, the Lahamenegu Mill allows Volcafe PNG to buy cherry and experiment with other processing methods rarely on offer for PNG coffee. Like this natural, which allows the cherries to dry on raised beds for up to six weeks. This process results in a coffee with a unique fruit-forward flavor profile that sets it apart from most PNG coffee.
